Carlo Ancelotti has received to major player boost ahead of their must-win Champions League fixture, Real Madrid vs Man City.
Real Madrid have received a significant injury boost ahead of their UEFA Champions League second-leg playoff against Manchester City on Wednesday.
Defender Antonio Rüdiger returned to first-team training on Monday, just in time for the crucial clash at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the development, stating that the German international is fit to face Pep Guardiola’s side after recovering from injury. “Toni Rüdiger, back in training with Real Madrid first team after his injury……and ready to face Man City,” Romano wrote on X.
Rüdiger was absent for the first leg at the Etihad Stadium last week after being diagnosed with a biceps femoris injury in his right leg earlier this month.
Rudiger is however not the only player who was spotted in training as a centre defender, David Alaba was also spotted in training after picking up another knock upon his highly anticipated return.
It remains uncertain whether Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti will include him in the starting lineup against City.
As a reminder, Real Madrid secured a 3-2 victory over the Premier League champions in the first leg last Tuesday.
The winner of the two-legged tie will advance to the Champions League Round of 16.
