Thomas Partey has been formally charged by the Crown Prosecution Service with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, based on allegations from three separate women. The offences are alleged to have occurred between 2021 and 2022 in London.

The Metropolitan Police began investigating after receiving the first reports in February 2022.
Partey was arrested that summer, released on bail, and continued to play for Arsenal while the investigation proceeded. He is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 5 August 2025.
He denies all allegations and is cooperating
Partey denies all charges and his legal team has confirmed that he has fully cooperated throughout the three-year investigation. His lawyer insists he looks forward to clearing his name of the scandal.1
