The football world counts down to one of the most important games in the Premier League this season as Manchester City plays host league leaders, Arsenal as the title race goes down to the final lap.

Some players have played for the Blue side of Manchester and the Red side of London. Their journeys, often marked by triumphs, controversies, and unforgettable moments, have left an everlasting memory in the histories of both clubs.

Here are five players who played for both Arsenal and Manchester City some of these players:

Emmanuel Adebayor:

The Togolese striker enjoyed a prolific spell at Arsenal before moving to Manchester City in 2009. Adebayor’s time at Arsenal saw him as a potent goal scorer, forming lethal partnerships with the likes of Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie. His move to Manchester City marked the beginning of a new chapter, and he will always be remembered by Arsenal supporters for the goal he scored against them and ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of them.

Kolo Touré:

Touré was a key figure at Arsenal during his time at the Emirates where he formed a formidable partnership with Sol Campbell. He completed his move to Manchester City in 2009 where he continued to show his defensive excellence, playing a crucial role in City’s rise to prominence under the new ownership of Sheikh Mansour.

Samir Nasri:

The French international is another player who played in the midfield of both Arsenal and Manchester City. He enjoyed a successful spell at Arsenal and was known for his technical abilities and vision. His move to Manchester City in 2011 saw him become a key component of City’s midfield, playing an instrumental role in their Premier League title triumphs.

Bacary Sagna:

He was known for his runs down the right flank and defensive solidity, Sagna spent several years as a mainstay in Arsenal’s defense. His move to Manchester City in 2014, brought his experience and versatility to the Etihad Stadium, where he continued to excel under the guidance of manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Gael Clichy

Another French full-back who made the switch from Arsenal to Manchester City, Clichy established himself as a dependable presence on the left side of the defense. His time at Arsenal saw him develop into one of the league’s finest left-backs before joining Manchester City in 2011.
