Fortified (in English means being strengthened and protected. After all the hard work and release of dope singles trying to stand out in the Nigerian industry. (FORTIFIED) is the self-titled first studio album by Nigerian recording artiste Virginberry. It was released on August 10, 2018, by Zealous Media Group worldwide (zmgworldwide) Entertainment. It is the follow-up to his outstanding singles like, Chiokike gworu Meka, special money coming, my five alive, all of me and mujo from (2014).
The album’s release were the singles”ONE LOVE” “ONLY YOU” “GOD OVER EVERYTHING” “FEELINGS” “DON’T LIE” “JESUS ONYEOMA” “NGWA NGWA” “SG with BG” “NAOMI” “MY FIVE ALIVE” “MIGRATE” “MONEY IN THE BANK” “CHIOKIKE GWORU MEKA” “SOMETHING INSIDE SOMETHING” “STREET PARTY” “SPECIAL MONEY COMING” “AKA CHUKWU” “IKEBE SUPER” MUJO” “THANK GOD”. As one of the executive producers of the album, VIRGINBERRY collaborated with record producers such as Nelly Yung, xtofabeat, x1, Jeffy Jeff, t9, iceberg.
The album features guest appearances from Kelly Hansome, Maxi, double Jay, Crazy Kay, Bablojay, Obidiz, Busta Pop. Fortified was met with mixed reviews from music critics, who had a difference of opinion about the album. Some critics complimented the album’s production, song arrangement and sound quality, while others were disenchanted with its lyrical theme.
