The anticipation is building for Afro Nation Portugal 2024 as global superstars Nicki Minaj, Asake, Rema, and other renowned artists prepare to take the stage in Portimao from June 28 to 30.

This was revealed in a flier that surfaced online today, Monday, January 22, 2024. With chart-topping hits and electrifying performances, these musicians are expected to uplift the festival to unprecedented heights.

Of particular note is Nicki Minaj’s debut performance at Afro Nation Portugal, marking a significant milestone for the talented rapper and the event itself. With a groundbreaking career that has reshaped the landscape of US rap and hip-hop since her debut album Pink Friday, Minaj boasts numerous accolades, including nine American Music Awards and twelve BET Awards. She holds the distinction of being the first woman to achieve 100 entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Asake, who secured the Male MVP award at the Soundcity MVP Awards in February 2023, continued his winning streak by clinching the Best African Artist of the Year at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in May. The artist also took home the 2023 Headies Next Rated award and Album of the Year for Mr. Money With The Vibe. His dominance on Spotify was evident, with three of his tracks, including the hit single ‘Lonely at the Top,’ ranking in the top 10 most-streamed songs in Nigeria.

Rema, a nominee in multiple categories at the iHeart Radio Awards, garnered five nominations, showcasing his remarkable achievements. His nods include Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best New Artist (Pop), Best African Music Artist, and the new category Pop Song of the Year.

Joining Minaj, Asake, and Rema on the stellar lineup are international sensations Dadju and Tayc, Odumodublvck, Tyla, Flavour, Seyi Vibez, Omah Lay, Focalistic, Diamond Platnumz, and many more.

Over three days, this festivity honouring African music and culture has evolved into a worldwide sensation, bringing together the diaspora with the rhythms of dance, the richness of food, the flair of fashion, and the soul-stirring beats of music. The triumph of Afro Nation Portugal has catapulted artists such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido into headlining major festivals across the globe.

After a sold-out edition in 2023, the demand for Afro Nation Portugal tickets is soaring. Fans eager to attend this historic event have a limited pre-sale opportunity on January 25 to secure their spots. The promise is an immersive experience with Nicki Minaj, Asake, Rema, and a diverse lineup that is set to surpass any previous offerings.
