Rapper YCee starts the new year with a dance tune titled “Nu Riddim“, This record embodies Afrobeat, Pop and Rap. Its a record that you would love at first listening.
Praised for his ability to met out witty punchlines and seamlessly impress as a singer, Nigerian international artiste, Oludemilade Martin Alejo known professionally as Ycee stands today as one of Africa`s most treasured music heavyweights.
The multiple award winner made his big break in 2015 with his Olamide-featured anthem, Jagaban and has since been on an impressive streak. The rapper has served us back to back hits; ‘Omo Alhaji’, ‘Juice’, ‘Mo Salah’, ‘Say Bye Bye’ and ‘Dakun’.
Ycee has enlisted and assisted a slew of Nigerian music heavyweights including Wizkid, Reekado Banks, Patoranking, Olamide, Falz the Bahd Guy and Seyi Shay. He`s also featured South Africa`s DJ Maphorisa, British-Nigerian singer, Maleek Berry who was enlisted on his 2017 smash hit, Juice and American rapper, Joyner Lucas who jumped on the remix of said song.
In 2019 he released YCee Vs Zaheer Album, the body of work features artistes; Ms Banks, Niniola, Phyno, Davido, Boj & Dapo Tuburna. Then served us Quarantunes EP which house the hit track MIDF (Money I Dey Find) in 2020 during the Covid-19 lockdown.
Today February 19, 2o21, Ycee starts the new year with the release of this fresh addictive single – “NuRiddim” (STREAM HERE).
YCee shows off his mastery of fusing genres – Afrobeats, Pop, Rap and R&B) on “Nu Riddim”. It serves as the first single off a yet-to-be-titled upcoming project. With his signature slurry vocal, seductive melodies, a stellar production by Smyley, YCee dishes a top class Afrobeats record.
