Prominent Afrobeat South African singer Tyla will be performing at the Governors Ball Music Festival.
The Governors Ball official social media accounts conveyed the announcement, accompanied by a poster revealing the impressive lineup for the stellar performances. The Governors Ball Music Festival is a yearly multi-day music event located in New York City. Established in 2011 by its founders Jordan Wolowitz, Tom Russell, and Yoni Reisman, the event showcases a diverse range of music genres such as rock, electronic, hip-hop, indie, Americana, pop, folk, and various others.
This year’s edition is set for June 7th to June 9th at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York. Tyla will be gracing the stage on the second day of the festivities alongside other international acts such as 21 Savage, Carly Rae Jepsen, Sabrina Carpenter, and Sexyy Red.

In addition to her Governors Ball music festival performance Tyla will also be performing alongside Tems and DJ Spinall at the Coachella Valley and Arts Festival, one of the most renowned music festivals. The organizers of the festival officially unveiled the lineup featuring renowned artists like Doja Cat, K-pop boy band Ateez, Lana Del Ray, and Tyler the Creator.
The global sensation has unveiled that her next album deemed ‘Tyla’ will be released 1st of March 2024. The South African singer has unveiled three new singles: Truth or Dare, On and On, and Butterflies of her self-titled debut album. Besides the success of her chart-topping song ‘Water,’ Tyla has earned a Grammy nomination in the ‘Best African Music Performance’ category and has been recognized as part of the Apple Music Rising Star class of 2024.
