Released in 2022, Rush quickly garnered commercial success on a global scale. Domestically, it claimed the top spot on the TurnTable Top 100 in Nigeria. Rush debuted at number four on the Billboard US Afrobeat Song. Internationally, the track made its mark in various countries, including Canada, Lebanon, Belgium, Netherlands, South Africa, and France, where it reached its peak at number 5. Notably, it also secured a place on the UK Singles Chart, marking Ayra Starr as the first Nigerian lead female artist to achieve this milestone.

In addition to her new feat on Youtube, Ayra Starr will be gearing up for the 2024 Grammys Awards where her hit single Rush is nominated for the maiden Best African Music Performance alongside other fellow Nigerian superstars Asake, Tyla, Olamide, Burna Boy, and Davido.

Ayra Starr will also be in South Africa for the In the City music festival. Flying Fish the official title sponsor of the renowned music festival ‘In the City,’ has joined forces with Steyn Entertainment to unveil ‘Ayra Starr and Friends’, set to make waves in South Africa in February, with support from Maybelline.
