Chelsea have confirmed a new injury concern as the club in an official statement has now confirmed that Christopher Nkunku will be out of the squad facing Leeds United in the FA Cup.

The Blues who suffered a last-minute defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the Carabao Cup finals 2024 in a post on the website as well as social media confirmed that Christopher Nkunku has been added to the list of injury concerns after picking up a knock in the finals where he came on as a substitute in the second half of the game.

Speaking on the injury concern of Chelsea with Nkunku, ahead of the fifth round qualifying fixture of the FA Cup which will be against Leeds United, head coach Mauricio Pochettino in his pre-match press conference confirmed that Nkunku is expected to miss a month of football and he hopes it doesn’t pass that specific time frame.

He stated, “At the moment, three-four weeks out for Chris. I hope. I hope no more. It’s difficult for Chris as he was flying in pre-season before he got the knee injury. We need to see and evaluate”
