Popular Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has shed light on the controversial decision to exhume and rebury his mother’s body.

The Tony Montana crooner recently made headlines after a viral video surfaced online today, Thursday, March 21, 2024, captured him explaining the unsettling act.

Portable disclosed that he took the drastic step due to the sale of the land where his mother was originally buried. Recounting his childhood loss, the singer revealed that he lost his mother at the tender age of 13. Facing the unfortunate circumstance of the sold burial site, Portable felt compelled to unearth his mother’s remains and find a new resting place for her.

In the video clip, he expressed the difficult decision he had to make, emphasizing the necessity driven by the circumstances surrounding the land’s sale.

“I lost my mother at the age of 13. I exhumed her body and reburied her because they sold the land where she was initially buried,” explained Portable.

The revelation has sparked discussions and debates online, with many expressing sympathy for the singer’s situation while others questioned the legality and ethical implications of such actions. As the news continues to circulate, Portable’s decision remains a topic of public interest and scrutiny.
