In a major win for African music, Grammy award winning singer Tyla has dethroned Rema to become the African artist with the most monthly listeners on Spotify.
The surge comes after the release of her self-titled album on March 22, 2024. The album which has over 7 million streams has helped Tyla amass a more than loyal fanbase. Tyla now boasts an impressive 30 million monthly listeners on Spotify, edging out Rema’s 29.7 million.
