Renowned Nigerian singer, Terry G has revealed candid insights into his personal life, disclosing that he has always felt lonely and lacks close friendships, both within and outside the music industry.
The artist, famously known as the Akpako Master, clarified that he has never had friends throughout his life, attributing it partially to his personality trait of being a loner. Speaking on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch Podcast that surfaced online on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, Terry G expressed, “I have never had friends, not just in the music industry but my entire life. I am a loner.”
Terry G elaborated on his solitary lifestyle, explaining that he spends most of his time in the studio and primarily interacts with business colleagues rather than forming personal connections. He emphasized that his child is his closest companion, while other relationships are primarily transactional.
Despite his distant approach to friendships, Terry G acknowledged past relationships with colleagues such as Timaya, with whom he shared a close bond in the past. However, he noted that their relationship has evolved over time, leading to a gradual drift apart. Despite this, he maintains occasional phone conversations with former colleagues and exchanges pleasantries when they meet in person.
Reflecting on his current dynamics with fellow artists, Terry G highlighted his positive relationship with Illbliss, acknowledging past conflicts but emphasizing that they have since reconciled.
