Nigerian singer-songwriter, IRhay has released a new high energy Afrobeats song titled “Frequency”, a single off his forthcoming “Surface The EP” – his first fully fledged body of work.
“Frequency” is a deeply melodic song buttressed with horns and percussion. The high octane rendition is sure to jump start everyone’s weekend on a Friday night.
Born “Ifeanyi Favour Ofomata” in the city of Port Harcourt, IRhay has lived in various parts of the country, and was raised in the reality of different cultures across the country.
These experiences have informed his life’s journey and outlook; largely influencing his sound to be unique yet distinctly Afrobeats.
His music and lyrics paint a musical portrait, a soundgasm of sorts, telling imaginative stories, while immersing the listener into IRhay’s world.
IRhay’s inspiration comes from his environment and being an old soul who soaks up everything, he can spark a creative flame readily, fusing afrobeats with other genres.
