The Premier League in an official release have confirmed that Chelsea had spent the highest amount on agent fees in the 2023/2024 transfer window.

For as many who had initially believed that Chelsea had saved money on the wages of players sold in the 2023/2024 transfer window, the recent release by the Premier League confirmed that the Blues spent the highest fees on agents and intermediaries amongst all clubs in the league to negotiate player transfers in the same window, has been a reality check that all may not be well in the finances of the club.

The Chelsea football club is currently struggling with their performances and results, but the English FA recently shared information about the amount of money spent by Premier League teams from February 2023 to February 2024.

The disclosed figures revealed that a net total of £409,592,929 was spent during that period. Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital were the highest spenders, with a total of £75,140,524 spent, followed by Manchester City who spent £60,626,025. Manchester United trailed behind the top two with a spend of £34,054,001.

Chelsea made significant signings during that period, including Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Christopher Nkunku, Nicolas Jackson, and Cole Palmer.
