Nigerian singer and Zeh Nation boss, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has publicly pleaded for forgiveness from the government and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) following his practice of spraying money on his fans.

The street artist appeared in a live chat on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, where he expressed concern about the potential consequences of his actions and announced changes in his approach to financial generosity.

The Tony Montana hitmaker acknowledged his past practices of distributing large sums of cash to his followers, declaring that he often gave away nearly N2 million daily in cash splatters. He emphasized that his intentions were to spread kindness and help others.

However, in light of growing scrutiny and the recent six-month jail sentence handed down to popular crossdresser, Okuneye Idris, also known as Bobrisky, Portable seems to have taken a more cautious stance. His fear of potential consequences has led him to apologize and request forgiveness from authorities and the anti-graft agency.

Portable assured his fans that he would no longer spray cash and urged them to open bank accounts. Instead of distributing cash directly, he stated he would make transfers to provide support to his followers.

“I didn’t deface the Naira, I help a lot of people. After God na Government. Please forgive me if you have videos of me spraying money. No more spraying of money,” Portable stated in his live chat.

The artist’s decision to shift from cash distribution to bank transfers reflects a new chapter in his efforts to continue supporting his fans while avoiding potential legal issues.
