Renowned Afrobeats sensation, Tiwa Savage has addressed misconceptions surrounding her latest collaboration with Simi, titled Men Are Crazy.

Amidst scrutiny from fellow artists like Brymo, Savage elucidated on the inspiration behind the provocative title and lyrics of the song.

Describing the collaboration as “magical,” Savage, in an interview with MTV Live that surfaced online on Monday, April 22, 2024, expressed admiration for Simi, labeling her as “queen in Afrobeats.” She emphasized the significance of their partnership, highlighting the mutual desire to work together on such a compelling track.

Responding to inquiries regarding the song’s message, Savage, who is yet to clinch a Grammy recognition explained, “My collaboration with Simi is titled ‘Men Are Crazy But I Still Want One In My Bed.’ The inspiration behind it is that men are crazy but we can’t do without them.” Contrary to assumptions, Savage affirmed that the song acknowledges men’s quirks while asserting the indispensable role they play in women’s lives.

“Simi is somebody that I’ve always wanted to work with. She is a queen in Afrobeats so both of us coming together on such an amazing track is magical,” she added.

The collaboration between Savage and Simi marks a significant milestone in the Afrobeats industry, with fans eagerly anticipating the release of their joint project. Despite challenges and skepticism, the two artists remain steadfast in their creative vision, poised to deliver yet another chart-topping hit to their loyal fanbase.
