Pep Guardiola reportedly set to leave Manchester City

The manager of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola is reportedly set to leave the club at the end of this season after nine years.

The Spaniard international joined Manchester City from Bayern Munich in 2016, has enjoyed loads of success since moving to the Premier League. According to reports from the Daily Mail, Pep Guardiola could leave at the end of the 2024/25 football season which is the end of his contract.

There have been no formal confirmation from the 52-year-old, but there are multiple sources from media houses that City have openly discussed the prospect of an impending departure over the past few months. The hierarchy at Manchester City wants Guardiola to stay after he delivered 17 trophies to them including the UEFA Champions League in the past eight years but they are ready to give him space to make his final decision.

Manchester City supporters will always remember Pep Guardiola for becoming the first club to win the English Premier four times in a row in the competition’s history. Since joining the Club in 2016, Guardiola has presided over the most successful period in Manchester City’s history, winning 17 trophies over eight seasons.

He has won six Premier League titles, one UEFA Champions League, two FA Cups, four league Cups, two Community Shields, One UEFA Super Cup, and One FIFA Club World Cup.
