Following the initial decision to sign the Champions League-winning coach for the Chelsea women’s team, reports have now confirmed that the club owners are set to bring the Ballon d’Or winning player in Aitana Bonmati to Stamford Bridge as well.
According to the Spanish publication Relevo, Chelsea is ready to activate a release clause of approximately €3 million. The WSL champions are undergoing a period of transition following Emma Hayes’ departure to assume a new position with the United States Women’s National Team.
