Who is Chelsea’s 2024 signing, Omari Kellyman?

Omari Kellyman was born on September 15, 2005, in Derby, England. He is currently a professional footballer for Chelsea and has represented both England and Northern Ireland at youth international levels. Kellyman developed his skills at the academies of Aston Villa and Derby County.

He joined Derby County’s academy in 2012 and progressed through the ranks, being named on the bench for an EFL Championship game against AFC Bournemouth on November 21, 2021, though he did not play. After spending ten years at Derby County, he moved to Aston Villa’s academy in March 2022.

What club did Omari Kellyman play for in the Premier League

Kellyman signed his first professional contract with Aston Villa in September 2022, having already featured for the under-21 side in the EFL Trophy.

In the upcoming year, Kellyman’s outstanding performances for Aston Villa’s youth team earned him a nomination for the Premier League 2’s Player of the Month award in February. His exceptional skills and talent did not go unnoticed, as he also triumphed by winning the Birmingham Senior Cup during the 2023/2024 season, solidifying his potential as a promising footballer.
