Faculties of Training Academics Affiliation of Ghana members have reiterated the essence of the federal government fulfilling the settlement from the Nationwide Labour Council (NLC) arbitrary awards to them.
In a press convention held by the members of Faculties of Training Academics Affiliation of Ghana on Thursday, 15 August 2024 expressed their intentions of not returning to class till the federal government makes funds of the arrears owed which might be settled by the Nationwide Labour Council (NLC) arbitrary awards.
“CETAG has 20 months arrears of cost to be collected from the implementation of the NLC arbitrary awards. We need to unequivocally state that, we will accumulate each pesewa owed to us from the NLC arbitrary awards.”
CETAG additional said that, the inking of Memorandum of Settlement (MOA) with the federal government has yield no outcomes and due to this fact, they’re set to proceed with the strike.
“Signing of MoA and present scenario, CETAG has gone go the signing of bogus and misleading MoAs which the federal government businesses makes use of as caveat to deceive us to droop and call-off our strike and fall asleep.
“On the 16 December, 2022, the federal government signed an MOE with CETAG that didn’t implement it. The Faculties of Training Academics Affiliation of Ghana have been on strike for the previous few weeks for presidency’s lack of ability to launch funds for the funds of twenty months of arrears owed to them which is to be paid by by means of the Nationwide Labour Council as an arbitrary awards.
