Portable has shared his two cents on the ongoing drama between Davido and Wizkid, suggesting their fight and rants are well  calculated moves aimed at promoting their forthcoming music.

The two Afrobeats heavyweights recently teased their separate forthcoming projects. Wizkid has been consistent in announcing the coming of his next Album Morayo dedicated to his late mother while Davido has teased a lot of music with snippets, particularly a forthcoming song with Omah Lay and the snippet he posted on X on the 1st of October.

On Tuesday, Wizkid responded to Davido’s creative director Tycoone asking him to drop  and this reignited their drama on social media. This came right after Davido announced his first single of 2024.

The superstar went further to throw jabs at Davido’s lawyer and also taunted Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle who is governor of Osun state.

Wizkid mocked Adeleke for his numerous dance videos online. He also implied that the Adeleke family “lacks a proper upbringing”. He also gave insight as to why Davido currently represents Puma and why he is no longer an ambassador to the sporting brand.

Airing his opinion via an Instagram post, Portable argued that they are no longer marketable and in demand. He said that both artists are relying on online wars to promote their projects.

He proceeded to share intellectual wisdom and advised the singers to focus on self-improvement rather than using each other for attention.

He said “Don’t use your brother to shine. Shine by yourself una songs no dey market again na fight una dey use do promotion. Let’s forget fake promotion I get hit songs. Portable is bigger than them. Who is big is big we no gather dey na only me dey God dey omolalomi chosen one.”

Portable’s many controversies started with Poco Lee who he accused of ‘ripping’ him.

Portable also emphasized his neutrality in the ongoing war, and advised the singers to concentrate on their craft rather than “manufactured drama”. He ended his rant by affirming his position as the chosen one in the music business.

“Me I no dey for Davido for me. I no dey for Wizkid. I dey for myself that’s why I dey for those who dey for me chosen one,” he added.
