Cardi B didn’t let her separation from Offset dampen her birthday celebrations. The rapper, who turned 32 on October 11, hit up a private club in New York City on Saturday night to mark the occasion. However, by Sunday, October 13, she took to Instagram to reveal she was feeling the aftereffects of a wild night.
“I’m never going outside again,” Cardi shared in a video, still wearing her make-up and false eyelashes from the night before. “I will never, ever drink again,” she added, humorously regretting her decisions.
Cardi, whose real name is Belcalis Almánzar, also posted a screenshot of a message to a friend, where she admitted she had “a time” and even threw up on her way to the afterparty. Reflecting on her night of indulgence, she joked, “They need to (ban) Hennessy out this country,” after downing a bottle of cognac at the event.
Before stepping out, Cardi posted a series of photos in a striking black minidress. In the caption, she revealed a last-minute wardrobe hiccup that led her to an old haunt, Satin Dolls Gentlemen’s Club & Sports Bar, where she used to work as a stripper.
“The dress I was gonna wear for my birthday was a little too small and there wasn’t enough fabric… so I got my a*s in a truck and went to Staten Dolls gentlemen’s club where I worked for four years and bought this little dress because baby NOTHING was gonna stop this night,” she wrote. “I love the fact that they don’t see me like CARDI B.. they still treat me like CAMILLA (Fun fact.. that was my stripper name).”
Cardi started stripping at 19 and retired from the job at 23, well before her rise to global fame.
