Bnxn and Dremo’s beef is one of the most funny things happening right now. The beef has no authentic grounds that we know of, and looks boring at first glance. Both artists are in no form of competition with each other, and one can only wonder where the feud between both artists is going.
Buju Bnxn’s problems with the 30BG crew started when a DMW fan talked down on Buju’s Artist Taves. The 26 year old singer responded by firing shots at Davido and the entire label and proceeded to call Davido ‘mid’. This degenerated into a big ruckus that resulted in Davido deleting the post he made about his collaboration with Bnxn and him being on the Timeless album Deluxe.
In now deleted tweets, the singer shared his thoughts about Davido deleting the post on their collaboration. He noted that he would still release the song anyway because he wrote it all in the first place. Not stopping there, the young singer added that he can’t be bullied and that netizens twisted his words and took things out of proportion.
When a troll told him he was trying to use 30BG to trend, he responded with a “no go stream Dremo them”. Dremo then responded to the statement. He wrote: “You see sey i de my own before bowling pin mention my name , I no dey find wahala but if wahala come no wahala”. When a fan urged Dremo to hold BNXN by the neck, he replied: “He doesn’t have one”
After Bnxn apologized to Davido, things didn’t really change as Dremo kept going at the artist. When Bnxn announced his forthcoming collab with Rema, Dremo took to X to tell Bnxn not to drop the song if it was going to sound like his previous two releases. Shortly after the song dropped, he went back to the platform and made a post captioned “Said it, same shit”.
While it’s great to see healthy and sometimes toxic beef from artists in the community, this one is particular comes off as time wasting. Bnxn has made sure to not give the beef the time and energy needed to make it something serious, and Dremo has resorted to subtle jabs without calling names. Fans are also quick to point out that it seems Dremo is using the drama to get engagement, as a quick check on his platform shows that his subtle jabs are always his most engaged posts, and majority of conversations around him are around the drama and not his music.
While it’s obvious that Buju has fallen out of favor with the 30BG side of the industry and its soldiers, it doesn’t seem to have any effect on him, yet. What exactly is then the purpose of the beef if it’s not driving engagement to the music and the people involved? Is Buju then wrong for defending his artist Taves? Would Dremo not expect the same to be done for him by his own boss? Is this just another clout moment or something serious?
