Africa Magic has released the first stills from its highly anticipated limited series, My Fairytale Wedding, which will premiere on Sunday, October 20, 2024.
The romantic drama series follows the journey of a young woman MJ (Ini Edo) who, with the aid of magic (Kayanmata), captures the heart of Lagos’ most eligible bachelor Lanre (Ramsey Nouah).
My Fairytale Wedding is directed by Dimeji Ajibola and executive produced by Ini Edo, Chichi Nworah, Carolyna Hutchings and Taiwo Adebayo.
The show features a range of stars, including Kanayo O. Kanayo, Shaffy Bello, Ayo Mogaji, Tina Mba, Uzor Arukwe, Daniel Etim-Effiong, Carolyna Hutchings, Lilian Esoro, and Vine Olugu.
“I want to tell the story that tells people they shouldn’t use other things to make things happen for them. Love is something you can find naturally, you don’t need to force it,” Chichi Nworah said in an exclusive interview at the private screening of My Fairytale Wedding.
Speaking about her character, Ini Edo revealed that she loves her character because of her aversion to societal norms while staying authentic to herself.
“I like that she is original and she feels like every other person feels, so she goes through turbulence and the trials of being a woman of a certain age,” she added.
However, can a fail-safe method guarantee that Ini Edo’s character will be happy ever after?
Find out as My Fairytale Wedding is set to premiere on Africa Magic Showcase on (DStv Ch. 151, GOtv. Ch. 8.) on Sunday, October 20, 2024, by 8 pm.
