Chelsea’s midfield maestro, Cole Palmer, has spoken about the possibility of him winning the Ballon d’Or trophy sometime in the future.

The English International was speaking in an interview with the Telegraph, where he was asked about his chance of winning the award. According to him, it will take a lot of hard work from him to be crowned the winner of the award.

He said,

“It was a surprise to be recognised at that level so early in my career. It’s a huge honour. Winning it would be brilliant, and Ibelieve with hard work and consistency I could get there.”

When is the 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony?

The 2024 Ballon d’Or ceremony will take place on Monday, October 28. It will begin at 8 p.m. CEST in France, 7 p.m. in the UK time.

He also spoke about the decision that was taken to change his position by Enzo Maresca.

“Playing centrally has given me more opportunities to influence the game. I enjoy being involved in the build-up and making key passes as well as scoring. It suits my style, and I think I can be even more effective there.”

Cole Palmer wrote his name into the history book of the Premier League by scoring four goals in the first half of the game against Brighton. This is one of the records that he has broken since he completed his move from Manchester City to Chelsea.
