This year’s theme, “Imagine it, Experience it!,” aims to inspire creativity and engagement among attendees.
In a significant move to enhance community involvement, festival organizers will introduce a series of pre-festival events featuring a mobile stage that will visit Cowdray Park, Nkulumane, and Mzilikazi. Supported by the Culture Fund and the EU Delegation to Zimbabwe under the CreativeActions2 grants, these events seek to bring the festival experience directly to the community, fostering a deeper connection between artists and the public.
This year’s festival promises a diverse lineup of dynamic performances and sector development workshops, with a special focus on empowering women and young artists. A highlight of the festival will be the renowned event, Women Wine and Words, which celebrates the voices and talents of women in the arts.
The full schedule of events will be released during the first week of November, providing attendees with a comprehensive overview of the festival’s offerings.
The festival organizers expressed their gratitude to the artists and stakeholders who recognize Intwasa as a vital national platform for arts and culture. They extend a heartfelt thank you to their partners, including the European Union, Culture Fund of Zimbabwe Trust, Plan Zimbabwe, National Arts Council of Zimbabwe, National Art Gallery in Bulawayo, Winya Sounds, Phiri Events Solutions, and all friends of the festival for their unwavering support.
