Reports now indicate that Brighton might be showing interest in signing Chelsea’s defender Tosin in the January 2025 transfer window.

Following reports of instability in the team and with Trevoh Chalobah getting recalled, reports re indicating a possible exit of a Chelsea defender in the January 2025 transfer window. It has been speculated that Brighton are considering a possible move for the newly signed Tosin as a top target of the January 2025 window.

Brighton’s reported interest in Tosin Adarabioyo comes as a surprise, particularly since the defender only joined Chelsea on a free transfer just seven months ago. Adarabioyo’s career has been anything but ordinary.

Starting in Manchester City’s academy, he eventually broke into their senior team and gained valuable experience during loan spells at West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers. Before moving to Chelsea, he also had a notable stint with Fulham.

It remains to see if this is a viable transfer the Chelsea board will consider in the days to come.

In a recent interview on Chelsea’s official platform, Adarabioyo shared his thoughts on adapting to his new surroundings after signing a four-year deal. “It truly feels like home now,” he remarked. “Settling in has been smooth, especially knowing the manager and some of the players already. It’s been a fantastic experience.”

He also addressed the challenge of securing a regular spot in Chelsea’s starting lineup. He explained, “Joining a top club like Chelsea means there’s fierce competition in every position. You have to give your all in training every day, remain patient, and seize your opportunities, which is what I’ve been doing. This level of competition pushes you to elevate your game. That’s why we have such depth in every role—it drives us forward. We’re a united group here, and whether you’re starting or on the bench, everyone supports one another.”
