Meet Echo Deep, a Soweto-born DJ and producer known for his renowned house music record label, House Afrika Records.
Real name Tshepo Molefe, Echo Deep has worked with the likes of Melrdy B, Maya Spector, Robyn Kate Pritchard, Steve Paradise, amongst other international and local artists, and even bagged a residency on UK based radio station, Drums Radio.
His latest album, Music Is My Life, celebrates the transformative role that music has played in his life, tinged by deep-house textures and lounge-ready rhythms.
Standout tracks include “Nguwe” (featuring Khanya De Vocalist) and “Ways Of Life” – both illustrating Echo Deep’s production skill.
Crafting soulful, soaring synth melodies, he injects deep passion into his music, and while the ten-track offering does feel a bit repetitive at times, it simultaneously brings listeners into his world with consistency and clarity.
