Chelsea Football Club have reportedly completed the move of Dastan Satpaev from Kairat Almaty in Kazakhstan on a long term deal.
The Blues have been searching for a forward player who can serve as a backup for Nicolas Jackson who has been recently criticised for his inability to take chances offered to him. The Chelsea board have failed to bring in a prolific striker since they took over the club in 2022 from Roman Abrahimovich.
Transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news on his official social media accounts. According to the Italian, Dastan Satpaev signed a five-year deal with Chelsea with an option for a further year.
He said,
“Official, confirmed. Chelsea sign 2008-born talent Dastan Satpaev from Kairat Almaty. The striker from Kazakhstan will cost a €4m package, add-ons included. Record transfer for the Kazakhstan league and a five-year deal for Satpaev, plus a one-year option, joining #CFC when he turns 18.”
However, it is yet to be confirmed if Chelsea will keep him permanently or decide to loan him out for him to gain experience before he breaks into the first team.
