Nigerian singer Portable, has tendered an apology to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun for his unruly behavior towards state officials.
This comes after Portable and his men allegedly assaulted some officials, leading to the sealing of his uncompleted hotel.
In a video collage, Portable appealed to the government, referring to himself as a “federal government liability.” During his apology, Portable called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene on his behalf, singing and praying for the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun’s understanding.
Portable claimed that his troubles stemmed from wearing a cloth associated with Senator Adeola Olamilekan, which led people to believe he was supporting the politician. He also stated that town planning officials accompanied by soldiers visited his house, sparking the altercation.
This apology marks a departure from Portable’s previous behavior, which had earned him a reputation for being controversial. Notably, he had previously received compensation from the Ogun state government for highlighting the poor condition of roads in the state.
