Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia has finally addressed the rumors of his relationship with Natasha Osawaru, the deputy majority leader of the Edo State House of Assembly.
The award-winning Nigerian artiste caused a buzz on Monday when he made a surprise appearance at the state assembly meeting. This led to speculations that his break-up with wife Annie Idibia could be linked to Natasha.
Refuting these burning rumors, 2Baba answered through Instagram in a video where he set the record straight. The musician made it clear that Natasha has no role to play in the breakdown of his marriage to Annie, stating that their separation was not related to her in any way.
2Baba, whose chart-topping single “African Queen” has turned him into a household name, made it evident that he had feelings for Natasha when he said, “Yes, I love her. I want to marry her.” He also came to the defense of the politician, calling her a “young, brilliant, and amazing woman” who has not been treated fairly. He said Natasha has been unjustifiably labeled as a “home breaker.”
“I spoke my mind. We will be alright…Honourable Natasha, I can see that people have spoken ill of her. They have labeled her with many names. They claim she disunites homes. She is a young, intelligent, and beautiful woman,” 2Baba said, standing up for Natasha amidst the rumors.
The musician clarified that Natasha was not a part of the problems in his marriage to Annie, contrary to what people had speculated. “She has nothing to do with what’s happening between me and Annie,” 2Baba stated, saying that Natasha is “amazing” and “cool.”
Annie is also a popular actress and model, and she has been married to 2Baba since 2012. They share two daughters. Their marriage has, however, been plagued with numerous rumors of cheating and issues. In January, 2Baba made headlines when he announced that he and Annie had been separated for some time and were in the process of getting a divorce.
