Brighton vs Chelsea is one fixture that football fans will be watching for the second time in seven days as the Premier League kicks off its match day 25 with a trip to the Amex where the Seagulls will host the Blues.

Brighton got the better of Chelsea in the fourth round of the FA Cup last week Saturday in front of their home crowd and they will be hoping for a repeat of the same performance against Enzo Maresca’s boys. However, Chelsea supporters will hope that this tie will swing in their favour as they continue in their quest to finish in the top four at the end of the 2024/25 season.

Both teams had contrasting results in their last Premier League game, Brighton were thrashed 7-0 by Nottingham Forest, one of the best clubs in the Premier League this season while Chelsea beat West Ham United 3-1 at Stamford Bridge to creep into fourth place ahead of Manchester City.

Brighton vs Chelsea ( Team News)

Brighton might be without its center-back Lewis Dunk ahead of Chelsea’s return to the Amex Stadium, with the defender suffering a rib injury in last weekend’s FA Cup clash. The quintet of Jason Steele, Pervis Estupinan, Ferdi Kadioglu, Igor, and James Milner are all expected to miss out due to injury.

Chelsea also have problems of their own as they are without a proper striker after Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guic were confirmed injured.

Brighton predicted lineup vs Chelsea:

Verbruggen; Veltman, Van Hecke, Webster, Lamptey; Baleba, Ayari; Minteh, Rutter, Mitoma; Pedro.

Chelsea predicted lineup vs Brighton:

Jorgensen; James, Tosin, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Neto, Palmer, Sancho; Nkunku

Brighton vs Chelsea ( Prediction)

The bookmakers are tipping Brighton to defeat Chelsea as the Blues have failed to secure an away win in their last ten matches. However, we think this game will be one against the odds for Enzo Maresca as other players will step up and be counted. Chelsea to win 3-1.
