Mother of popular singer and performer 2Baba in a recent video has pleaded with Honorable Natasha to ‘release’ her son.

In a heartfelt plea circulating on social media, Rose Idibia, mother of Nigerian music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, has publicly appealed to Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, to release her son from what she perceives as undue influence.

This development comes amid reports of 2Baba’s recent proposal to Osawaru, following news of his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia.

The couple, who had been married since 2012 and share two children, had faced repeated challenges in their relationship, with public controversies surrounding infidelity and family disputes.

The divorce announcement sent shockwaves through social media, with fans expressing mixed reactions.

Now, his proposal to Natasha Osawaru is one that sparked a lot of controversy, as people wondered how the singer could quickly move on to another marriage barely a few weeks after his previous one and Tuface’s mother’s recent announcement on Instagram left many even more bewildered.

In the emotional video, Mrs. Idibia expresses concern over her son’s current state, suggesting that he is not acting of his own volition due to the stress of his ongoing divorce proceedings.

She implored Osawaru to remove what she categorized as fetish items, specifically beads, which she believes have been used to exert control over 2Baba.

In the video she said, “Good evening, Nigerians. My name is Mrs. Rose Idibia, the mother of 2Baba. This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son. My son is going through a divorce process, and he is clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son well. That is not him. Please, Natasha, the beads you put on his hand and on his neck, remove them and free him.”

The video sparked numerous reactions on social media with some individuals have expressing skepticism, questioning the authenticity of the claims and suggesting that 2Baba, as an adult, is capable of making his own decisions.

Others have shown empathy towards Mrs. Idibia’s concerns, acknowledging the distress a mother might feel in such circumstances.

As of now, there has been no official response from Natasha Osawaru regarding the allegations or the public appeal made by Mrs. Idibia.

The situation continues to unfold, with many awaiting further developments and hoping for a resolution that considers the well-being of all parties involved
