Ruben Amorim could be kissing goodbye to Manchester United sooner than he ever anticipated if results do not go his way in the next few fixtures.
The Daily Mail confirmed in a post on its official website that most of the senior players are not happy with the way things are going at the club on the pitch. Ruben Amorim had always insisted that he was not going to change his pattern of play despite the recent run of bad results in the Premier League.
It is understood that this group of players believe that even when Manchester United win a game, it is largely down to individual moments of quality rather than a tactical input from the manager. This is United’s worst record after 25 games of a league season since the club were relegated in 1974.
One dressing room source told the Mail Sport that after a victory the feeling us that, “We got away with one, but we might not be so lucky next time.”
This was especially after the FA Cup tie against Leicester City earlier this month, when Harry Maguire’s offside winner against his old club in stoppage time sent United through.
However, there are also suggestions from some sections of the supporters that Amorim has a very thin squad, which was obvious in their 1-0 defeat to Tottenham at White Hart Lane on Sunday, February 16, 2025.
Manchester United supporters will hope things turn around for good as the season progresses into its last lap.
