The cast is split, with a clear imbalance between the sides. For the first six episodes, we witnessed the housewives form bonds with each other with hopes of officially tagging RHOLagos season 3, the most peaceful season of the franchise’s trilogy.

However, chaos came knocking in the form of Dabota’s Ilashe beach experience that divided the group into Team Sophia and Team Dabota.

From moments that had us shaken to moments that showed us a glimpse of the housewives’ personal struggles, here’s all that has happened so far on episodes 7 and 8 of RHOLagos S3, currently available on Showmax.

The Never-Ending Ilashe Saga

At this point, we can categorically say that the fight between the ladies at Ilashe has become the source and magnifier of every beef the housewives have with each other. Although Dabota has mentioned she has let things go and Diiadem seems to have moved on, Carolyna hasn’t.

During a yoga meetup with Sophia, seconds after reiterating the words, ‘speak kind words,’ Carolyna takes a full, deep dive into discussing Diiadem and Dabota’s behaviour. She doesn’t hold back.

For every major gathering the housewives have had since the saga, Carolyna has had one or two demeaning words ready to analyse Diiadem’s supposed character traits.

Carolyna: “She never owns up to her words.”

Carolyna: “Diiadem speaks from both sides of her mouth.”

Carolyna: “Diiadem has a major character flaw and inferiority complex. In all of that glow you see on the outside, she feels very incomplete.”

At this point, everyone’s thinking: This can’t just be about a frown, right? There’s got to be more.

Carolyna’s Shocking Revelation

At some point, most viewers thought Carolyna and Dabota were cordial—two women burnt by the hands of a popular blogger, whose sister happens to be a part of the cast. However, we soon find out that everything is not as it seems. For Carolyna, Dabota’s sisterhood with Ehi Ogbebor, an interior decorator who she feels personally attacks her character and livelihood, is one reason why she’d never be friends with Dabota.

Carolyna further claims that her reservations also stem from her divorce and how Dabota was dancing ‘one corner’ in her matrimonial home. That’s not all. Carolyna shares a previous uncomfortable experience with Dabota, explaining how she once visited Dabota’s house, only to find her ‘sworn enemy,’ Ehi, in the kitchen. She recounted that she particularly got the ick because Dabota refused to eat any of the meal after she repeatedly asked.

At this point, she mentions spirituality, but one wonders, What exactly does the spiritual have to do with this?

Sophia’s High-Class Ghana Trip

All eyes are on Sophia as she declares her plan to host the ladies on a 3-day getaway in Ghana. The trip is also to celebrate her store launch in Ghana, where she’ll be showcasing the physical office of her fashion brand, TSM.

Pending the actual trip, we have some details. Private jet, check; luxury experience, proudly being handled by the one and only Anita Brows. In simple terms, the trip seems to be shaping up.

Previously, she had called Dabota out for her hosting capabilities; can she give the housewives the getaway of a lifetime? I guess we’ll find out in episode 9.

Laura and Diiadem’s Relationship Blooms Beneath The Chaos

At every point on the show, Laura and Diiadem have expressed their mutual respect as women running businesses and as people. As Carolyna lists the many things she believes are wrong with Diiadem’s personality, Laura makes sure to state that she thinks Diiadem is a sweet person, a statement Carolyna also agrees with.

Likewise, despite Dabota’s reservations about Laura, Diiadem makes sure to speak very highly of Laura in her absence. We love a good sismance moment!

Sophia Stands Diiadem Up

As the season progresses, there are moments where we see the lines of alliance blur, like this moment when Sophia booked an appointment to see Diiadem at her store. Unfortunately, that moment is marred and leads to further tension when Diiadem is left waiting at her office, only to receive a last-minute cancellation. Visibly irritated, Diiadem later declines Sophia’s dinner invite, hinting at growing cracks in their friendship.

Has this robbed us of another possible sismance? We’ll find out as the season progresses.

As the trio—Sophia, Carolyna, and Laura—bond over a whisky-tasting event, with Mariam away from the country while Dabota and Diiadem stay away from the group, the season further builds for an exciting moment. Is the Ghana trip going to be a bonding moment for the cast, or is it another trip from hell? Find out as new episodes of RHOLagos are available on Showmax on Mondays.
