Former Manchester United and Real Madrid player, Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed exactly why he hasn’t married long-term girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez.
Cristiano Ronaldo has been in a committed relationship with Argentine-Spanish model Rodriguez, who he met while she was working as a sales assistant at a Gucci store in Madrid when he was playing for the Galacticos. The couple have two daughters together, Alana Martina and Bella, who they raise alongside Ronaldo’s other three children who he had with two surrogate mothers.
In the 2022 Netflix docuseries “I Am Georgina,” Ronaldo reaffirmed his commitment to his partner and their fans that he wants to marry her former model but it has to be at he right time.
He said,
“I always tell her ‘When we get that click. Like everything with our life, and she knows what I’m talking about. It could be in a year or it could be in six months or it could be in a month. I am 1000% sure that it will happen.”
Rodriguez revealed that her close friends and family regularly tease her about marrying Ronaldo after being with him for nine years.
She said,
They’re always joking about the wedding, ‘When is the wedding?’
However, it is yet to be known if the couple will get married anytime soon or their fans will have to wait for more years to come.
