Afrobeats superstar Davido gave fans plenty to talk about during his guest appearance on Subaru Boyz Stream with Cruel Santino on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

The live Twitch session was packed with exciting revelations, including multiple song previews from his highly anticipated album 5ive, major collaboration announcements, and insights into his creative process.

During the live stream session, Davido treated Cruel Santino and the viewers to several unreleased tracks from 5ive, showcasing the diversity of sounds the album will offer. Among the previews was a track produced by Shizzi, alongside others that highlighted Davido’s signature Afrobeats style. The singer also opened up about the inspiration behind the album’s name, explaining, “It’s like my fifth album, then call it 5ive. Then inside the album, the number five track says a lot of things—it’s actually a crazy number.”

One of the biggest revelations of the night was Davido’s confirmation of a collaboration with Omah Lay on the upcoming album. He recounted how their connection stemmed from a viral moment when he played Omah Lay’s music in his car while American streamer Kai Cenat was in Nigeria. After the video gained traction online, Omah Lay tweeted that he initially believed Davido disliked him, prompting the Afrobeats star to reach out. Their conversation eventually led to a feature on 5ive.

Davido also hinted at an exciting joint project with American R&B star Chris Brown, though he remained tight-lipped about further details. Given their history of successful collaborations, this news has only heightened anticipation among fans.

Reflecting on his career, Davido named Aye and Like Dat as two of his top 5 personal favorite songs but admitted he needed more time to decide on the remaining three. During the stream, he also gave a shout-out to music platform NotJustOk and engaged with fans by listening to remakes of some of his classic hits.

With 5ive shaping up to be one of Davido’s most personal and impactful albums, the live stream with Cruel Santino has intensified excitement among fans worldwide, leaving them eager for what’s to come.
