The highly anticipated nominations for the 2025 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Awards have been revealed, with Baby Reindeer emerging as the frontrunner, securing the most nominations of the year.

The BAFTA Awards, which recognize the best in British and international film and television, have once again highlighted exceptional talent from across the globe. This year, Baby Reindeer, the gripping miniseries from Richard Gadd, leads the pack with eight nominations. The series has earned nods in several major categories, including Best Limited Drama, Best Leading Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Director Fiction.

Hot on its heels are Slow Horses, the highly praised miniseries thriller, and Mr. Bates Vs The Post Office, a mini-drama that has captured the attention of critics and audiences alike. Meanwhile, the American historical drama Shogun has secured a place in the Best International Series category, further showcasing the global appeal of exceptional storytelling.

The 2025 BAFTA Awards will be held on May 11 at London’s iconic Royal Festival Hall, and the ceremony will be broadcast live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer for audiences around the world. The event will be hosted by the talented Scottish actor Alan Cumming, promising an unforgettable night of celebration and recognition.
