Rema and Ruger to take Afrobeats to Japan in 2025

Rema and Ruger have been unveiled as headline acts that will introduce Afrobeats to the Asian world at the 2025 Afro Jam Festival in Japan.

In an unprecedented move, it has been confirmed that Rema and Ruger will both perform as headline acts at the Afro Jam Festival 2025 scheduled to take place in Japan, asserting Afrobeats’ dominance in the Asian market.

The Afro Jam Festival 2025 is set to be a spectacular celebration of Afrobeat music and culture, taking place across three major cities in Japan: Okinawa, Osaka, and Tokyo.

The festival kicks off in Okinawa at the Suntory Arena from July 17, 2025, to July 20, 2025, featuring performances by Jason Derulo, The Wailers, Saweetie, Gyakie, Shenseea, Ruger, and Rema, among others. Fans can expect electrifying performances and unforgettable moments as these artists light up the stage.

Next, the festival moves to Osaka’s Ookini Arena Maishima from July 22, 2025, to July 24, 2025. The lineup includes Afrobeat sensations such as Shatta Mafia, Lauryn, and Amanda Par, alongside other talented performers who will keep the energy high and the crowd dancing.

Finally, the festival concludes in Tokyo at the Musashino Forest Sport Plaza from July 25, 2025, to July 27, 2025. The Tokyo leg of the festival will feature headliners like Jason Derulo, Rema, and Shenseea, along with a host of other talented artists, ensuring a grand finale to this musical extravaganza.
