The supporters of Arsenal Football club have received a huge boost with the arrival of Thomas Partey ahead of their crucial UEFA Champions League clash against Real Madrid.

The club posted picture of Thomas Partey with the rest of the squad before their trip to Spain. The Ghanaian international and Ben White were part of the final training for the second leg game against Real Madrid but Jorginho was not part of the travelling squad to Madrid.

There were a bit of scare from the club’s supporters after Partey was substituted after his goal against Brentford in the Premier League. Mikel Arteta after the game against the Bees confirmed that the midfielder felt something but ot doesn’t seem to be an issue.

Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka overcame minor issues picked up in the first leg, Riccardo Calafiori is expected to remain out. Takehiro Tomiyasu, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are the long-term absentees.

As for Madrid, Eduardo Camavinga will be out of the game after he was sent off when the two sides met in the first leg on Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Though Carlo Ancelotti has lost a key midfielder, two options in that department are back available with Aurelien Tchouameni back from suspension and Dani Ceballos back from injury.
