Football fans around the world have always asked which club have won the most Premier League titles in the history of the competition.

With the recent emergence Liverpool Football club being crowned the winners of the 2024/25 Premier League season. We feel this is the right time to set the record straight on which club has the highest of this trophy in its cabinet since its inception.

The club with the most Premier League titles is Manchester United, having dominated England during the days of Sir Alex Ferguson who won 13 titles since the competition’s inception in 1992.

Who has won the most Premier League titles?

Manchester United have won the most English Premier League titles of any club having been crowned 13 times. City won their eighth Premier League crown in 2023/24.

Chelsea have won five, Arsenal three, while Liverpool, Leicester City and Blackburn Rovers have all won one league title apiece.

Manchester United: 13 titlesManchester City: 8 titlesChelsea FC: 6 titlesArsenal FC: 3 titlesLiverpool FC: 2 titles, with their most recent win being in the 2024/25 seasonBlackburn Rovers: 1 titleLeicester City: 1 title

However top flight football existed in England before the start of 1992/93. Liverpool were the King of the league during that period having won 18 league titles before Manchester United knocked them off their perch.

The Reds have won 20 league titles in total which is the same number as Manchester United. Arsenal have won it 13 times with City winning it 10 times which places them in fourth place.

Everton (9), Aston Villa (7), Chelsea (6), Sunderland (6), Sheffield Wednesday and Newcastle United have won it four times each.
