Olamide and Wizkid have joined forces again on a new track called “Kai!“. Released on April 29, 2025, the song highlights the strong musical connection between these two stars in the Nigerian music industry.
“Kai!“ serves as the lead single from Olamide’s upcoming 11th studio album, Olamide, which is set for release on June 3, 2025. The track features Wizkid and includes additional background vocals by Fireboy DML, who also contributed to the songwriting, adding a melodic richness to the record. Joeboy also lends his voice to the background.
The song, produced by Eskeez and Semzi, mixes old-school and modern Afrobeats sounds. Its catchy beat combines Olamide’s energetic street style with Wizkid’s smooth and relaxed vibe.
Olamide opens the track with verses rich in Yoruba expression, passionately professing his feelings and playfully dubbing himself “Mr. Romantic.” He sings:
” I’m so fly, my God!Mr. Bombastic, Mr. Romantic.An African boy who performs magic.Came in a Porsche, left in a Lambo.“
In the lyrics, He paints an image of success and self-assurance, pulling up in a Porsche and leaving in a Lamborghini.
Wizkid follows with a smooth, captivating verse that adds depth and warmth to the song’s narrative. His delivery is effortless, enhancing the vibe and reinforcing why he remains one of the best in the game.
