Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has once again taken to social media to lament over issues with his First Bank account.

The singer, who has repeatedly voiced his frustrations online, made fresh allegations against the financial institution while linking his ordeal to the recent arrest of online critic, Vincent Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.

Recall that VeryDarkMan was reportedly arrested after visiting a GTBank branch, sparking outrage and conversations about the safety of outspoken public figures. In a series of videos posted on his Instagram page, Portable pleaded with First Bank to unfreeze his business account, claiming that despite receiving continuous deposits, he’s been denied access to his funds.

According to the Zazoo crooner, his pleas have fallen on deaf ears, and the situation has taken a disturbing turn. He accused the bank of allegedly tracking his movements and attempting to kidnap him. “Problem wants to happen! They are tracking me from First Bank, they want to kidnap me. Why are those people tracking me? Am I owing you money? What did I do to you?” he cried out in a viral video.

Portable vehemently denied any involvement in fraudulent activities, insisting that his earnings come from legitimate sources such as music streams and performances. He called on the bank to restore his account access, claiming he has over N400 billion in the account and that funds continue to come in daily.

In a dramatic moment, Portable was seen holding up a charm made of white thread and cowries while calling on spiritual intervention to regain control of his account. He also suggested that the issue may be connected to a past conflict with Fuji musician Saheed Osupa, who he claimed once had him arrested. Now that their dispute has been settled, Portable believes the account restrictions should be lifted.

The singer’s outbursts have since generated widespread reactions online, with fans and followers closely watching the unfolding drama between Portable and First Bank.
