Drake has made music history once again. The Toronto star is now the first artist ever to earn 10 RIAA Diamond certifications, a major milestone that sets him apart from everyone else. The Recording Industry Association of America confirmed this week that Drake hit the double-digit mark, putting him ahead of all other artists in U.S. sales and streams.
The newest tracks to enter the Diamond club? Two fan-favorites: “Hold On, We’re Going Home” and “Best I Ever Had.” Each has now sold or streamed the equivalent of 10 million units in the United States, joining a glittering roster of Drake classics already certified Diamond, including “God’s Plan,” “Hotline Bling,” “One Dance,” and “SICKO MODE.”
This record-breaking feat makes Drake the only artist to achieve 10 Diamond certifications across both singles and albums. In doing so, he eclipses Garth Brooks, who holds nine Diamond albums, and Post Malone, who has nine Diamond-certified singles.
Another potential entry is already on the horizon: Drake’s Scorpion smash “Nice for What” is currently sitting at nine-times Platinum and could soon push the total to 11.
Drake’s dominance in both rap and pop is nothing short of historic. As streaming reshapes the music industry, he continues to prove his staying power, not just as a hitmaker, but as one of the most commercially successful and culturally impactful artists of all time.
