
Real Madrid have reached an agreement with Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of the 2025/26 having joined from the Reds.
There are reports from Anfield that Liverpool accepted a fee to release the defender early from his contract. The move means the England international will join the Spanish side in time to play in the Club World Cup.
The 25-year old had already confirmed he would leave Liverpool this summer signed six-year deal with Real Madrid which will keep him at the Bernabeu until 2031.
The 26-year-old would have been able to leave Liverpool on a free transfer when his contract expired on 30 June. However with FIFA’s approval for an additional window for this summer, from June 1-10.
This means teams are allowed to register new players for the expanded month-long Club World Cup, which starts on Saturday, June 14, 2025 which is being held in the United States.
