Cole Palmer gets iconic jersey number at Chelsea

Chelsea Football Club have confirmed that Cole Palmer will wear the jersey No.10 ahead of the 2025/26 campaign, starting from the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Blues confirmed the new jersey number of Cole Palmer on its official website on Thursday, June 5, 2025 which is expected to take effect immediately. The number 10 jersey was previously worn by Mykhailo Mudryk earlier in the season who is temporarily suspended for taking banned substance.

The full list of squad numbers for the 2025/26 season will be finalised once the summer transfer window has shut, these numbers are subject to change until that point.

Here are some notable players who have worn the number 10 jersey for Chelsea:

Eden Hazard: Regarded as one of the greatest players to wear the number 10 shirt at Chelsea, Hazard played for the club from 2012 to 2019 and was known for his exceptional skills on the field.Juan Mata: A creative playmaker, Mata wore the number 10 jersey from 2011 to 2014 and had a successful stint with the club, winning several trophies including the Champions League and Europa League.Willian: A key player for Chelsea in the 2010s, Willian wore the number 10 jersey from 2019 to 2020 and was known for his hard work and skill on the field.Joe Cole: Cole played for Chelsea from 2003 to 2010 and wore the number 10 jersey during that period, showcasing his talent and creativity on the field.Christian Pulisic: The American winger was given the number 10 jersey in 2020 and has been a key player for the club. .
