Popular rapper and lawyer Folarin Falana, known professionally as Falz, has publicly denied any personal relationship with controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky.
This follows the circulation of a leaked phone conversation in 2024, which sparked widespread speculation about their connection.
The conversation was shared online by social media commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM), who claimed Falz had communicated with Bobrisky while the latter was incarcerated. Addressing the claims, Falz clarified that Bobrisky reached out to him via Instagram to seek legal assistance.
“I never had any relationship with Bobrisky prior to that phone call. He messaged me on Instagram and said, ‘I’m in this case and I want to speak to you about how you can help,’” Falz explained. He further added, “Thousands of people message me about similar situations. This isn’t a special or exceptional case.”
Falz also provided an update on the ongoing defamation lawsuit he and his father, renowned human rights lawyer Femi Falana, filed against VeryDarkMan. According to him, since the case was filed, the defendants have not presented a defense but instead raised a preliminary objection questioning the court’s jurisdiction.
“The court has now ruled on that objection, meaning they must enter a defense, or the court will proceed to rule on the case,” Falz said during an interview with Arise TV.
