Street-pop star Portable has expressed his frustration after an unfortunate incident following his recent performance in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The controversial singer revealed that his car was vandalized at the grand opening of a hotel where he had been invited to perform.
In a video shared on Instagram, Portable narrated that after concluding his set in Abeokuta, the incident occurred. An individual from the crowd approached his vehicle and smashed the rear side glass with their hand. The car’s backlight was also damaged in the attack.
Visibly upset, the Zazoo Zeh crooner lamented the ordeal, noting how disheartening it was to head out for work only to return to such damage. He, however, expressed relief that no one inside the car was injured.
Portable commended police officers present at the scene for acting swiftly to apprehend the suspect, urging them to ensure the individual is held accountable for their actions.
While the motive behind the attack remains unclear, the incident has sparked conversations online about the growing concerns surrounding artist security and crowd management at public events in Nigeria.
