British actor Damson Idris, known for his breakout role in Snowfall, has revealed a bold detail about his love life: he claims a woman has never rejected him.
The 33-year-old star claimed during a recent appearance on the hit YouTube interview series Chicken Shop Date, hosted by Amelia Dimoldenberg. When asked how many times he had been turned down after making a romantic move, Idris responded confidently with a one-word answer: “Never.”
The admission comes months after his highly publicized relationship with American model Lori Harvey came to an end. The couple dated for about a year before officially calling it quits in November 2023.
Born Adamson Alade-Bo Idris in Peckham, South-East London, to Nigerian parents of Yoruba descent, Damson is the youngest of six children. He studied drama at Brunel University London, beginning his career on the stage before breaking into television and film.
Though he appeared in several minor roles early on, his rise to fame came in 2017 when he starred as Franklin Saint in the crime drama Snowfall, created by the late John Singleton. The performance won him critical acclaim and firmly placed him on the international radar.
Idris has since built an impressive filmography and earned numerous accolades. In 2019, he was named Best Actor in a British Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, and 2023, he took home the BET Award for Best Actor.
