D’Tigress of Nigeria have named a strong squad to represent the country at the continental FIBA Women’s AfroBasket 2025.

The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has officially unveiled the final 12-woman roster for the FIBA Women’s AfroBasket 2025, set to take place in Côte d’Ivoire.

With head coach Rena Wakama at the helm, Nigeria’s women’s national basketball team, D’Tigress, are poised to defend their continental dominance and extend their legacy as one of Africa’s most formidable teams.

The selected squad boasts a powerful blend of experience and fresh energy. Key names on the list include Promise Amukamara, Ezinne Kalu, Elizabeth Balogun, and Amy Okonkwo, all of whom have made significant contributions to D’Tigress’ past successes.

Also returning are seasoned players like Nicole Enabosi, Victoria Macaulay, and Sarah Ogoke, bringing leadership and a wealth of international experience.

Newer faces such as Pallas Kunayi, Ifunaya Okoro, and Blessing Ejiofor add depth to the roster, demonstrating Wakama’s commitment to building a team that balances talent, athleticism, and potential for long-term growth.

D’Tigress tip off their 2025 campaign with one goal in mind: to bring the trophy home once again and cement their place at the summit of African women’s basketball.
